Hello. My name is Tracey Jones. I’m 49 years of age. I work in a skin clinic on the south side of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. My job title is dermal technician, and I’m quite blessed to have this position. It brings me in to contact with many different women in the world coming in for skin conditions. Our clinic is connected to a medical centre. We work with a diverse range of skin conditions through from cancer down to our basic beauty requirements. Heading on into work, [I first see] the lovely ladies and staff that I deal with here at Park Ridge Skin Clinic. I have women from 18 years of age right up to my eldest client, who’s 87 years of age, all wanting to come in and gain a sense of well-being, whether that’s through communicating with me about their life, seeking out different skin issues and solving them through different treatment modalities. It’s a very hands-on industry, and I find that part of my role is taking on people’s information and dealing with it on the basis of [being] a counsellor. That’s all incorporated into the way that we care for people here at Park Ridge Skin Clinic and, as I said before, I’m very, very blessed to be here in this capacity.

The working day goes from 9.00 till 5.30 p.m., 9.00 till 7.00 p.m. some nights, after which I head home, and it’s all about my dog as I’ve never been married or had children. She is my fur baby. She has a handmade meal every evening. Chia seeds, flax, she has kangaroo mince. Here in Australia, we do eat the kangaroos. And I handmake a meal every evening before turning in and usually listening to some YouTube doctors, skin programmes, nutritional, dietary programmes, things that are able to benefit me and my lifestyle and give me more information to assist my clients on a daily basis as well. Thanks for sharing my day with me.
