What things can you see and do on Kauai?
Kauai is an active island, in that you have many things that you can be active with, but there’s also things that you can just relax and be by the beach as well too. There’s rivers that you can go kayaking in, and you can kayak up to a waterfall. There’s some hiking trails that are amazing as well too that take you along the coastline or also in the rainforests. There’s ziplining. There is something called tubing, where you get in a tube and ride down an ancient waterfall flume into tunnels and things like that, as well as air tours and boat tours that take you along the coast for some snorkeling and some diving as well too.
The river that we do our tour on is nice and calm. It’s the last two miles of the Wailua River, which actually starts about 20 miles further up, at the base of the mountain called Mount Waialeale. And the tour that we do is on some large passenger boats, so you’re able to enjoy some history about the area, because the Wailua area is where the royal family of Kauai used to live in, so there’s a lot of historical sites along the river. There’s also some temples that you really can’t see from the river, but we point those areas out to you, and the temples have some signage there that you can learn about what happened in those temples too.
Kauai is spiritual and it’s rejuvenating. It is very nature friendly, the people are very friendly as well too, so when you get here, if you come with the spirit of aloha, aloha will find you as well too.
