    British sculptorBildhauer(in)sculptor Alex Chinneck playfully transforms everyday objects into art. This sculpture is titled Wring ring and shows a phone box that twisthier: verdreht seintwists 720 degrees. It was temporarily displayed outside the British prime minister’s home in Downing Street.

    Art isn’t just for art lovers; it’s for everyone. This is Chinneck’s philosophy. His surreal public artworks have been appearing in England since 2012.

    Chinneck told the website Londonist that, by putting his work in public, it can “connect with people who wouldn’t normally step inside a gallery or think that contemporary art is for them”.

    Born in Bedford, England, in 1984, Chinneck studied painting at London’s Chelsea College of Arts before becoming a sculptor.

    Chinneck’s latest sculpture, Weak at the Knees, was unveil sth.etw. enthüllenunveiled in Charterhouse Square, London, in May. It resembles the face of a traditional Georgian home that appears to have grown weary and taken a seat.
