Tea with the Dames doesn’t sound like much: four older women sitting down for tea and a chat. When those ladies turn out to be the cream of England’s acting elite, the whole thing sounds a lot more exciting. Eileen Atkins, Judi Dench, Joan Plowright and Maggie Smith are all Dames Commander of the Order of the British Empire. Now in their eighties, they meet quite regularly for afternoon tea. Oh, to be a to be a fly on that sandwichMäuschen seinfly on that sandwich!
