Although Sydney was in the news recently because of dust storms, the city is very much about the opposite of dust: water. The sparkling harbour is world-famous, while the beaches combine magnificent waves with cool café and surf culture. Spotlight team member Janina Schneider-Eicke shares her photos and impressions of Australia's most spectacular city.
Nina: "Curl Curl is 18 kilometres north-east of central Sydney. Locals call the place 'Curly'. The strand is divided into North and South Beaches. Both offer some of the best surfing in the Sydney area."
