Tattoo you in Vancouver
08.01.2009
Getting a tattoo used to mean going to a bad part of town. No more. Visitors to Adam Sky's tattoo studio in Vancouver's hip neighbourhood of Gastown are in for a surprise. Here, views of the ocean, a private elevator and an appointment-only policy give the impression of going to see an expensive doctor. "The image of the big, fat, hard-drinking guy smoking a cigarette out of the side of his mouth is starting to vanish," the 38-year-old tattoo artist told Maclean’s magazine. Sky's popularity has grown so much that he had to announce on his website that appointments would have to be made at least six months in advance. A look through his portfolio — especially the tattoo he created on the back of a woman from Prince George over an entire year — convinces clients that his beautiful work is worth the wait.
