Spotlight in the classroom 8/2014
Spotlight in the classroom is a selection of ideas for using Spotlight in your lessons. It is free to teachers who subscribe to our magazine.
Rest & recuperation...
...is what we wish you during your upcoming summer holiday. But before you set off, why not wrap up the semester with some activities that will get students in the travelling mood: packing and luggage vocabulary or renting a car (see page 3)? The warmers on page 2 and circle game on page 3 are sure to add some fun to your classroom.
As usual, we've got two reviews: a course that presents and practises language through realistic, achievable exercises; and a business title with relevant objectives for beginner students.
Lastly, we are delighted to introduce Olinka Breka, who teaches ESP (English for Special Purposes) in Zagreb, Croatia. Olinka told us that she fell in love with teaching from the very beginning. She has also been involved in research on the development of intercultural competence in the EFL classroom. Turn to page 5 to learn more.
