Phrases with “let” and “let’s” Premium-Inhalt

Let's look at English phrases containing “let’s” (which is short for “let us”) and the verb on its own: “let”, which has several different uses. You’ll hear both of these very often in everyday situations.

To be or not to be? - Medium

"Be" is probably the most useful first verb in the English language. In this exercise, we review the different ways we use it.

Three-word verbs - Medium

Past continuous - Easy

"At 7 o’clock this morning, I was just waking up." We use the past continuous to talk about something we were doing at a particular point of time in the past.

"Have" and "have got" - Easy

"I've got a new car." When you talk about possession, you can use have got or have. There is no difference in meaning. Practise using both expressions in our Basics section.

Past simple - Easy

"He didn't go to work yesterday. He stayed at home." We use the past simple tense to talk about a finished action that happened in the past. Practise this tense in our exercise.
