At the end of August, police from the Mariposa County Sheriff's Office raided an illegal marijuana farm inside Yosemite National Park and seized plants and pot valued at $14.6 million. Many of the 3,657 plants were ready for harvesting.

Californians will elect a governor and senator in November. They'll also be voting on the Regulate, Control and Tax Cannabis Act of 2010, which would legalize and authorize the taxation of what some say is the state's number-one cash crop.
