At the end of August, police from the Mariposa County Sheriff's Office raided an illegal marijuana farm inside Yosemite National Park and seized plants and pot valued at $14.6 million. Many of the 3,657 plants were ready for harvesting.

Methadone clinics in the US charge anywhere from $50-300 a week, which may be covered by private insurance. However, many clinics demand that patients to pay up front. Patients who lack insurance often struggle to pay the fees.
