One person who might be having a margarita, or two, this weekend is Carlos Slim. The Mexican has just topped the Forbes magazine's billionaire's list — the first time since 1994 that someone from the US has not led the rankings. Slim's fortune rose by $18.5 billion last year to $53.5 billion. That beat Microsoft founder Bill Gates ($53 billion) into second place, with US investor Warren Buffett ($43 billion) third.
