Having an affair? There's an app for that
Have you ever texted someone at midnight and then woken up in the morning, praying that you could undo the message? Well, here's some good news: There's now an application that eliminates the possibility of your text messages coming back to destroy your relationship or career.
Tiger Text is available for the iPhone, the BlackBerry and devices using the Android operating system. For a fee, the sender can determine the length of time the recipient is able to keep the message before it is permanently deleted from both users' phones and the servers in between. Features even include a "delete on read" setting.
Tiger Text could be a hit with those who enjoy "chexting", which means cheating via text message. The word is a combination of "che[ating] + [te]xting". It was first used by Zorianna Kit in an article she wrote for Reuters about scandals involving text messages and celebrities such as Tiger Woods: "The affairs have spawned a new word in pop culture, chexting, and raised the question of whether it really is cheating on a spouse. The experts say: you bet it is."
