"Yéle Haiti!" say Jolie, Pitt and Wyclef Jean
"My heart is so heavy today! Words can't explain! God Bless Haiti!!!!" wrote hip-hop star Sean 'Diddy' Combs on Twitter.
Since the poverty-stricken Caribbean island was hit hard by a massive earthquake that struck just south of capital city Port-au-Prince on Tuesday, some of the stars of the entertainment world have been coming together to organize help for the victims of the catastrophe.
Haitian-American R&B star Wyclef Jean has urged people all over the world to donate money to help the rescue efforts. "I cannot stress enough what a human disaster this is. The over two million people in Port-au-Prince face catastrophe alone. We must act now," he wrote on his website.
Hollywood super-couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have also stepped forward to help the victims of the earthquake. "We are devastated by the news from Haiti. We will work closely with our good friend Wyclef Jean to support the humanitarian efforts on the island and help those who have been injured and left without homes and shelter," they said. Pitt-Jolie are asking people to give money to Jean's Yéle Haiti charity organization.
