Sir Sean and Lady Connery are having a party
Scottish fashion is hot. Names such as Henrietta Ludgate, Graeme Black and Holly Fulton are now spoken of with the same respect as those of star French and Italian designers.
Tonight, in New York, they'll be showing off their ideas, when Sir Sean and Lady Connery and the "Friends of Scotland" host Dressed to Kilt, a party that celebrates all things Caledonian. But along with the music, the drinks and the stars, there's a very serious side to the evening:
"The Friends of Scotland charity and the producers of the event believe that we owe a tremendous debt of gratitude and thanks to the young men and women on both sides of the Atlantic that have risked their lives to help and protect all of us. Therefore funds from this year's event are being raised for the Wounded Warrior Project, the Paralyzed Veterans of America and the Erskine Hospital in Scotland."
