New U2 album on the horizon
01.02.2009
Quick question
The first U2 album since November 2004 received an exclusive first play in Dublin last week. Media and record company personnel gathered at The Residence private members' club on St Stephen's Green to hear No Line on the Horizon, which was recorded in Morocco, Dublin, New York and London. The songs, according to the Irish Independent, range from "rock to grungy pop to politics". On "I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight", Bono sings, "Every generation has a chance to change the world", while "Cedars of Lebanon" ends with the line "Choose your enemies carefully, because they will define you".
The single "Get on Your Boots" will be available on 13 February, and No Line on the Horizon will be released at the beginning of March. The album will be available in five different formats: vinyl, CD, download, a deluxe box set and a special edition with a 64-page magazine.
