Jolie, Depp, Venice, Viagra and Facebook are the stars
It's going to be a busy film season from September to Christmas as the world gets ready to say goodbye to Harry Potter and say hello to the first movie starring Facebook. Here's a quick look at the highlights of the coming months.
September: The Runaways is a rock drama dealing with the rise and fall of the band that gave us Joan Jett. Get ready to hear Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning singing such hits as "Cherry Bomb" and "Neon Angel".
October: The Social Network is the story of the university students who created Facebook. Director David Fincher hopes that lots of the network's 500 million fans will want to watch how it all began.
November: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1. Nearly a decade after the first film about Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry was released, we enter into the final phase, which has been filmed in 3-D.
December: Love and Other Drugs sees Ed Zwick, director of Blood Diamond, return with a comedy about the ups and downs of a Viagra salesman, played by Jake Gyllenhaal.
Finally, and just in time for Christmas, there comes The Tourist by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck. He took a long break after making The Lives of Others, but this thriller set in Venice and starring Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie is expected to get him another Oscar.
