Jamie Oliver has been promoting vegetables as part of a healthy diet for years now as a part of his "Ministry of Food", dedicated to providing sound advice in order to end obesity. His venture is part of a broader movement towards better cooking that has spawned festivals dedicated to good food. Michael
Holland of TV New Zealand interviewed Jamie Oliver in his beloved veggie patch and they joked about what to feed your mother-in-law and how vegetables are nature's Viagra, and that small carrots are as good as big carrots because size isn't everything. Watch the six-minute feature and take notes on the following:
- Where is the garden? What role does the location play in Oliver's life?
- Does anyone else in his family use it? What for?
- Which leafy greens does he talk about?
Then do the vocabulary and comprehension exercise based on this feature on the next page.
