Taking the Table Mountain Cableway

As a fog bank rolls in from the Atlantic Ocean at sunset, the cable car takes visitors to the top of Table Mountain, in Cape Town, South Africa. Since its opening in 1929, more than 16 million people have taken the trip to the top of Table Mountain using the Cableway.
The flat top of Table Mountain is often covered by the so-called "tablecloth" of cloud. According to local legend, the cloud is smoke coming from a fight between the Devil and a pirate named Van Hunks.
