Don't lose your head!
12.09.2011
A (headless?) passenger waits for the morning train from Oakland to San Francisco, California.
Some idioms with "head" are the same as in German.
If you stop thinking rationally, you lose your head. If you don't want to acknowledge something, you can bury your head in the sand. Perhaps you can't stop thinking about something: if so, you can't get it out of your head. If you're frustrated, you can bang your head against a brick wall. It's better to keep a cool head. But don't get too confident: it can go to your head. And if you're not careful, heads will roll.
