"Yu Ming is ainm dom"
23.08.2010
In the official language of the country where I was born, "Eamonn is ainm dom" means "My name is Eamonn". That language is sometimes called Irish, often Gaelic, officially Gaeilge . Once, it was spoken by millions of people. Now, around 300,000 use it daily. It's not dead yet, but it's dying because everyone in Ireland speaks English. Still, Irish is not an impossible language to learn or speak as the story of Yu Ming shows us.
