TV show gets dogs barking mad

Did you read our news item on Monday about Tom Goldstone, the Washington lawyer who writes the SCOTUS Blog? Tom's story is going to become a Hollywood film, but before that happens, Sony Pictures Television is making a TV show about his life. It's being written by Barry Schindel, who has produced some episodes of the hit series Law & Order.

And now comes the really interesting bit. Apparently, the Law & Order theme music upsets lots of dogs. Search YouTube and you will find dozens of videos recorded by dog owners who have noticed their best friends going crazy just as the show begins. So, here's the question I want you to think about this weekend: Might the Law & Order music contain a hidden frequency that only dogs can hear? And here's a bonus question: Why?
