Spotlight guarantees April sunshine
The April Spotlight goes on sale next Wednesday, 25 March, and it's filled with sunshine. While most of us wait for winter to end, Spotlight will be offering ideas for combining summer holidays and English. Actually, we're talking here about working holidays, because time spent working in an English-speaking country will improve both your language and career skills. In the April Spotlight, you'll find reports from people who went to Australia, America, India, Africa and Singapore.
There's lots of sunshine in the British Virgin Islands, where we join author Francis Rogg as he meets Foxy Callwood, an entertainer with a song in his heart; barman Bomba, whose parties go on till morning; and a taxi driver named, fittingly enough, Quick. And that's what Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton is — quick. With the Australian Grand Prix starting in Melbourne on 29 March, we've got a very timely feature on the McLaren-Mercedes driver. Columnists Colin Beaven, Elisabeth Ribbans, Peter Flynn, Ginger Kuenzel and Paul Smith add their amusing, thoughtful, provocative, stimulating and entertaining ideas to the mix. And there's lots, lots more. So, subscribe to Spotlight today.
By the way, congratulations to Martina Lehmann of Frankfurt who won the language course on Malta that we offered with the readers' survey in Spotlight 1/09, by courtesy of Studiosus Sprachreisen. Congratulations, too, to the nine other readers who won a package of language-learning materials from Langenscheidt: Kathrin Schimmelpfennig of Frankfurt, Carsten Scholz of Brunswick, Verena Mühr of Stuttgart, Ulrich Sennhenn of Hamburg, Elisabeth Neckermann-Büttner of Bad Aibling, Kerstin Maehder of Grasberg, Ines Heiduk of Hassfurt, Manuela Niggemann-Kolb of Breckerfeld and Heike Nykiel of Markdorf.
