It won't have buttons
Walk around your office or down the street and ask people who's the boss of the BBC, Coca-Cola, SAP, Royal Dutch Shell or IBM. Chances are no one will know. But if you said Apple, almost everyone would answer "Steve Jobs". He's simply the most famous manager in the world.
Earlier this week, Steve Jobs sent an e-mail to a select group of people, inviting them to the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco next Wednesday. The subject line was: "Come see our latest creation". What might it be, then?
Well, after revolutionizing the music business with the iPod and transforming the communications market with the iPhone, Apple is expected to do something extraordinary again this time. The speculation ranges from a device that will replace magazines and newspapers to a thing that lets users change the weather. I have no idea what it's going to be, but I'm certain that it won't have buttons. You see, ever since he started creating wonderful gadgets like the iPod and iPhone, Steve Jobs has always worn a turtleneck sweater when making his presentations. Unlike shirts, turtlenecks don't have buttons, and neither do the devices.
So, what do you think Apple will introduce next Wednesday?
