Happy, happy feet
09.06.2010
I am baffled by the popularity of Sex and the City, as are millions of men, but I have to tell you that I once bought a complete DVD set of the show for a fan and it came in a special "shoe box" package (a reference to Sarah Jessica Parker's character's fetish in the show). As the world knows, no Manolo Blahnik shoe is too weird or too expensive for Carrie Bradshaw.
Tomorrow, however, it's my turn to get excited about footwear. You see, Lionel Messi of Argentina will be wearing what are being described as "chameleon purple" boots, while David Villa of Spain will have a pair of "black and sun" ones. Both are the standard bearers for Adidas, which is also outfitting the feet of Arjen Robben of Holland and Lukas Podolski of Germany during the World Cup. And they'll all be wearing the F50 adiZero, which weighs just 165 grams and costs only €250. Happy, happy feet!
