Goaaaaaaaaaalllllllllllllllllllllllll!
On Monday, the world will wake up to the morning after the World Cup. It won't by easy to say goodbye to the wonderful escapism provided in the past four weeks, but life must go on. The good news, though, is that it's only four years to the next World Cup in Brazil. Until then, we can dream of glorious goals in places with romantic names such as Rio de Janeiro, Manaus, Belo Horizonte, Recife, Porto Alegre, Brasília and São Paulo.
Apart from being a great excuse for a party, the World Cup has shown us the good side of globalization. Sport is business, sport is entertainment and sport is a way for people to make a better life for themselves all over the world. Take Steve Nash, who was born in South Africa to British parents, but grew up in Canada. Today, he plays professional basketball for the Phoenix Suns in Arizona, where he dreams of goals, goals, goals.
