Alfred Hitchcock walked on and on and on
According to my dictionary, "A walk-on role in a play or film is a very small part which usually does not involve any speaking." A synonym for the adjective "walk-on" is "cameo". EXAMPLE: "His first film appearance was a cameo role, that of a young Aids patient in hospital."
All this brings us to Alfred Hitchcock, because the great director had a walk-on part in most of his films. Fans have had lots of fun over the years looking for that brief moment when the inimitable, well-rounded profile appears for a few seconds. If you don't have the time to watch all the films, there's a Wikipedia page that lists the walk-ons. Here's a great video clip that shows Hitch's most famous cameos. Enjoy!
