New! Improved!
"What are you wearing?" I'd just walked into the office when Inez's words greeted me.
Suddenly I remembered her words from the day before: "We're filming tomorrow, so please don't wear any patterns or anything dark."
What was I wearing? A flowery blouse with a black cardigan on top. I remembered deciding the night before to put on a plain beige tunic-dress the next morning. And I did that. Only, when I had it on, I noticed a large, grubby mark on it. Was that a child's footprint? It was hard to tell in the early-morning gloom.
This wardrobe malfunction caused temporary amnesia, and I reached for a fresh, clean blouse and my favourite cardigan — a cardigan so dark that children's footprints wouldn't show. Practical.
With a mini-bulldog clip keeping my cardigan shut and my flowers out of sight, I was deemed screen-friendly enough, and shooting began.
What's this video for, anyway? Well, for the last few months, we've all been working hard on the new look of Spotlight.
The cappuccino colour of the language section has been replaced by a fresh blue ribbon at the top of the page. We also have newly designed symbols to help you navigate the magazine. In general, everything appears fresher and cleaner.
I bet you can't wait to get your hands on a copy!
The January issue, in the new look, goes on sale next Wednesday, 16 December.

Very interesting.
Where is Mike in that video? I want Mike!
Hi Haufenwolke,
Not to worry: I'm here in spirit, as are the other members of the team — Joanna, Birgit, Thorsten, Susanne, Janina, Eamonn, Bea, Sarah and Reinhild — as well as our new graphic designers, Marion and Johannes. Some of us prefer to be behind the camera instead of in front of it; but that won't rule out an appearance in a future video. Keep watching!
