Big Bang

I was watching The Big Bang Theory on TV last night. The Big Bang Theory is a situation comedy (sitcom) that revolves around a couple of physics students at the California Institute of Technology, known as Caltech. Leonard, an experimental physicist, and Sheldon, a theoretical physicist, are the two main characters. They live across the hall from an attractive blonde waitress called Penny.
Anyway, at the beginning of the show last night (Season 2, Episode 23), Sheldon checked his e-mail:
Sheldon: "Now, here's a peculiar e-mail. The president of the university wants me to meet him in his office tomorrow morning at 8 a.m."
Leonard: "Why?"
Sheldon: "It doesn't say. It must be an emergency. Everybody at the university knows I eat breakfast at eight and move my bowels at 8.20."
Leonard: "Yes. How did we live before Twitter?"
This short scene managed to sum up my latent feelings for Twitter. I had to laugh.
